By incorporating FORTA-FI asphalt reinforcement fibers, a longer lasting pavement can be achieved. Fiber reinforced pavements have been proven to reduce common pavement failures such as cracking and rutting. This leads to pavements maintaining a higher Pavement Condition Index (PCI) value longer. A major critical step in the successful implementation of aramid fiber reinforcement is proper introduction and dispersion of the fibers into the asphalt mix.
