2026 APWA
We are pleased to announce the release of the 2026 APWA Manual of Standard Specifications updates for the State of Utah. These annual updates are important to our industry as they ensure specifications continue to reflect evolving technologies, balanced mix design principles, environmental requirements, and construction practices that maximize pavement performance, smoothness, durability, and longevity.
Utah HI-MOD Asphalt Technical Overview - ZOOM meeting
A special technical session highlighting Utah’s Hi-Mod asphalt mix, featuring experts from UDOT, industry producers, suppliers, and contractors. This session provided a comprehensive overview of Hi-Mod design, performance, construction, hauling, milling, and field results. A Q&A session followed.
This meeting was developed specifically to help answer the many questions received about Utah's Hi-Mod. Howard Anderson (UDOT) shared UDOT’s experience, including performance results and key lessons learned that have contributed to successful implementation. Our additional presenters shared their own insights and lessons learned from producing, supplying, transporting, and placing Hi-Mod in the field.
